Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in General Psychology from North Central University.

With over four years of experience as a master-level clinician and crisis case manager in mobile crisis units, I have developed exceptional skills in high-stakes, dynamic environments. Additionally, I have more than three years of experience as a counselor, effectively treating clients from diverse backgrounds. My specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and Eye Movement Integration (EMI), making me a versatile and compassionate therapist. My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the principles of Carl Rogers, emphasizing a person-centered methodology. I believe in empowering clients to discover their own solutions, fostering autonomy, self-confidence, and sustainable long-term outcomes.

In addition to my clinical career, I served nine years in the United States Air Force as a non-commissioned officer specializing in fitness and sustainment services. What is Eye Movement Integration Therapy?
Eye Movement Integration Therapy (EMI) is a counseling technique that uses guided eye movements to help people process and heal from traumatic memories and difficult emotions. It’s similar to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) but focuses more on integrating these experiences into everyday life.
Benefits for Mental Health:
-
Helps with Trauma: EMI can make painful memories feel less overwhelming, aiding in healing.
-
Reduces Anxiety: It can help calm anxious thoughts and feelings, promoting relaxation.
-
Boosts Self-Understanding: Clients often gain clarity about their emotions and behaviors, leading to personal growth.
-
Improves Emotion Management: EMI teaches better ways to handle difficult feelings, enhancing coping skills.
-
Builds Resilience: By working through tough experiences, people can become stronger and more adaptable in facing challenges.

Overall, EMI is a powerful tool in mental health counseling, providing a safe and effective way to address deep-seated emotional issues.
