About Alexis

I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. With over 15 years of clinical experience, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. My goal is to offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and never judged—just met where you are.

My professional background includes work in outpatient and inpatient settings, addiction recovery, crisis response, and trauma-focused care. These experiences have shaped my belief that healing happens best in a relationship built on trust, understanding, and collaboration. I approach each client as a whole person, not a diagnosis, and I truly believe that meaningful change is possible with the right support.

Who I Work With:

I work with adults and families who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained. Many of the individuals I support are navigating:

  • Trauma and unresolved past experiences

  • Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm

  • Substance use and recovery-related challenges

  • Christian counseling (integrative, faith-based approach)

  • Family members and loved ones impacted by someone else’s addiction, including those seeking support, boundaries, and guidance while caring for or loving someone in recovery

  • Major life transitions, grief, or loss

  • High stress, burnout, or crisis situations

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or trying to make sense of how someone else’s struggles are affecting your life, you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy can be a space to process, gain clarity, and learn healthier ways to cope, both for yourself and within your relationships.

My Approach:

My approach to therapy is warm, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in the process. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may be holding you back, while also identifying your strengths and building tools to support lasting change.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that can help reduce the emotional intensity of difficult or traumatic experiences without needing to relive them in detail. I also integrate other evidence-based approaches, including trauma-focused CBT and motivational interviewing, tailoring each session to your needs and goals.

For clients who request it, I offer Christian counseling, thoughtfully incorporating faith into therapy while honoring your personal beliefs, values, and comfort level. Above all, I believe healing is a journey and you don’t have to walk it alone. My hope is to support you in creating a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and grounded in renewed hope.

If you’re curious about therapy or simply need a place to start, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. I’m happy to answer your questions and help you determine if working together feels like the right fit.
